We offer private cello lessons in the heart of Oklahoma City.

Our Philosophy & Mission

We believe that becoming a competent musician is about working on all aspects of musicianship. Music should be a joy; an artistic expression of who you are that serves not only as an outlet for emotion and creativity, but that helps us connect with others. We strive to help individual students foster and grow their love of music by keeping it fun, challenging, and rewarding.

Teaching Style & What to Expect

During our time together we will focus on a variety of musical aspects. Every student is unique and curriculum will be customized in an age appropriate course according to individual needs and skill. Here are some of the things you can expect to learn about throughout the semester:

• style and interpretation

• musicality

• music theory

• establishing good practice habits

• music history & culture

• orchestra/school music proficiency*

*It is my experience that one of the most discouraging things to a young musician is to feel insecure about the music they are being asked to play. I make it a priority to spend the first portion of our lesson time answering questions and helping students work through school music, as needed, so they can feel more confident about their playing.

Private 1/2 Hour Cello Lessons, $25/lesson

Private 1 hour Cello Lessons, $40/lesson

Group Ensemble and Duets, arranged

Lesson fees are paid monthly. For your convenience, we accept cash, check and credit cards. A limited number of scholarships are available each semester. Please contact us for more information about payment policies, payment arrangements, and attendance and cancellation policies.
